Mate this is top class . Would love to see more of these vids showing how to you get your tone to sound spot on . How important is the order of the effects chain in various songs ??

Thx! The order depends on what you are using. For the Axe, the order is often less important. For actual stompbox effect with a real amp, it can make a huge difference and you can have impedance mismatches and ground loop problems.

I start with the basic classic recommendations such as compression is typically first and distortion is before delay and delay goes into amp, etc. I always experiment with the order to see which works best.

This is a very helpful comment, as I will incorporate this info on future tutorials.

Hi micheal, What do you think about eventide time factor i herd it is a great
delay/ echo delay stop box? I also have a fender super champ xd amp
with a american strat. Will this give good sound for trying to get that edge sound? I wish i could afford a ac-30 but maybe next year. The only problem
with the fender super champ is that it doesn’t have an effects loop is this
going to be a problem? or should i pick up a fender blues amp both are tube
amps. What do you think? Your videos are very helpful. Thanks Frank

Hi Frank. Sorry, I don’t have experience with amps or any of the equipment you mention. I like the AC-30 model in the POD XT Pro and the Axe-Fx. Try asking on the U2_Recording board on Yahoo.
